Exercise also improves posture and bad posture is another leading cause of joint pain.
Some medical conditions can cause joint pain, but so can something as simple as dehydration.
There are medical reasons for joint pain that require treatment, like bone cancer. It’s the reason you should always check with your health care professional. Inflammation in the form of bursitis is another medical condition. Check your diet and eliminate inflammatory foods, like sugar and see if that helps. Dehydration can cause mild joint pain. Joint cartilage is 70 to 80% water. The synovial fluid that lubricates the joints requires adequate hydration. One quick solution you can do at home is to drink more water. It takes more than one glass to do the trick, but a constant effort to increase water intake.
- Some nutritional products have been found beneficial for joint pain. Loss of glucosamine can cause joint pain. Chondroitin is an ingredient necessary for collagen creation in the joints. Taking those supplements may help relieve the problem.
- Using anti-inflammatory supplements like MSM that’s a natural compound in fruits, vegetables and animal products or omega-3 fatty acids may be lacking in your diet. Improve your diet and supplement if you must.
- If you’re suffering from knee pain, try a stationary bike, but put the resistance as low as possible. It’s the movement that helps. As you build muscle and tendon strength, slowly increase resistance.
- Get out in the sun, eat vitamin D rich food or take supplements if necessary. Studies show that vitamin D deficiency is prevalent in people with rheumatoid arthritis. It’s also been shown to improve the pain from arthritis.
