What you need: Workout step and risers (optional)*, iPod or mp3 player, running shoes and your water bottle.
*The step is optional will increase the challenge of the workout. Using more risers will also increase the intensity.
Description: This workout will test your stamina, recovery rate and agility and will maximize your exercise time. After a five minute warm-up you’ll experience five different intervals. Each interval will be broken down into eight rounds of 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of active recovery. This workout will have you working primarily in zones 3-5. Because of the very limited recovery between intervals, your heart rate will stay elevated for the duration of the workout. When you are in the work phases, you should feel like you’re working at an 8-10/10. During the short active recovery sections, you’re heart rate will go down a little but will most likely stay elevated to a level that feels like a 6-8/10.
All fitness levels can enjoy this workout. The drills can be modified to suit your individual needs as you can control your speed, step height and level of impact. The goal is to have fun and get a great workout so please listen to your body!

I have to admit that, when I first saw an audio workout, my first thought was “why would I buy that, I can simply set my Gymboss and do it alone”….um, yeah…except that when the fateful cold, snowy day hit, and I had procrastinated going to the gym so long that it almost looked like I would miss my workout — I had to admit I needed some motivation and some music. The Hot Pepper audio workout gave me exactly what I needed. Perfect, and now I am an audio workout convert!

I loved how easy it was to download this audio clip and play it right off of my phone at my own convenience! I use the clip when I miss hitting the gym during regular hours and get a full workout in the comfort of my home with no special equipment required. Hot pepper was awesome because I could adjust my speed to my fitness level, yet I know I can progress to a faster pace as I build up the strength and endurance over time using the clip. Fast, convenient and encouraging…couldn’t ask for much more than that!

I hadn’t tried audio workouts in the past, having not found the need. I was disappointed that my office space isn’t close to a gym and that it was hard for me to find time and energy to go after work. A co-worker suggested I try the Hot Pepper audio download by Jari Love. Now I do this in the stair corridor at work on my lunch hour to get up and move for a half hour and I love it! It’s a great workout and has changed my daily routine, my energy levels are so much higher. Can’t wait to try the others!

I like to do this cardio workout in combination with either the Weights 1 or 2 audio workouts, for a challenging full hour exercise routine. This cardio workout is easy to follow, so easy to follow that my husband does this workout with me! This workout definitely gets your heart rate elevated, and you will sweat. It’s tough, but with Jaris motivation, the 30 minutes goes by quickly, and you feel amazing when you are done.

OMG Hot Pepper is amazing! Even though it’s cardio intervals – my whole body is feeling it! I chose this audio workout because I’m not much of a runner and I rarely have access to weights. After just one workout, I was definitely sore the next day, but that’s what made me love it even more! Having Jari speak to me throughout the whole workout really keeps me going, and the music helped me stay on track too. Thanks for the great workout Jari!

My workouts are usually very tedious and I usually get bored quite quickly. So I bought the Audio Cardio download called Hot Pepper. The fact that the intervals are so short but intensive, it doesn’t even seem like half hour! I’m pumped the whole way though. I love it, my cardio is absolutely something I needed to work on. I started out with low intensity and am slowly moving up, being able to change intensities make it seem like it’s a completely different workout! I’ve been shuffling between the “Nature Walk” audio download as well and my whole body feels the difference.

I just did this workout for the first time today and boy was it good ~ I loved it! I am a big fan of Tabata workouts and this certainly delivered. I was a sweaty mess and felt like I worked hard. Those lunge hops at the end were definitely a booty burner! I would most certainly recommend this audio workout. 🙂

This is an excellent workout, if this doesn’t break through a plateau I don’t know what will. The queues are right on time, as always Jari does a fabulous job of motivating. Thank God I had the presents of mind to start with just one set of risers, for me it was plenty. My heart rate was pretty much up in the 160’s almost the entire time.
